“Finding Pearls”, In the heart of Portland, Oregon an area known as the Pearl district a trendy upscale area and the location of Pearl Audio. We spent a few hours yesterday visiting John Loranger (Proprietor). Head Whammer and my good friend Matt wanted to hear the DeVore “Orangutan” 0/96 speakers with one of my Whamm amplifiers the model DAA3+RAM we settled in all freshly connected up and took our test drive. We all felt stunned at how wonderful the combination presented, huge sound-stage, deep wide, detailed (a very uncanny you are there presence) and the bass was to die for it literally energized the room. We all looked at each other in astonishment this from a 2 way speaker!, (we also played at sustained loud levels and no strain was ever evident) A huge thanks goes out to my friend John for letting us steal his store for the afternoon. Johns store is a must visit if you are in the area or visiting PDX..
